ELECTRONIC LIBRARIES AS A MEANS FOR FORMING SOCIO-CULTURAL COMPETENCE OF PROFESSIONAL COLLEGE STUDENTS

The article considers electronic library systems as a means of forming the socio-cultural competence of students of a professional college. The digitization and placement in open access of literary works and local history materials on the history and traditions of various Russian ethnic groups contributes to the popularization of the multicultural world, which can be effectively used in extracurricular activities programs of a sociocultural orientation, the pedagogical goal of which is to develop the ability of students to interact in a multicultural society, which will allow them to fulfill themselves in the process of future professional activity. The author characterizes the forms and methods of educational work using the resources of national EBS, creating conditions for mastering knowledge about the behavior of the peoples inhabiting the Russian Federation, for developing an emotional and value attitude to national cultures and the ability to engage in cross-cultural communication.
