The basic tendencies of development of the Russian economic press in 2007-2010

The main trends of the development of Russian business press in 2007-2010 Based on the research, the authors prove that in 2007 – 2010 new economic trends emerged in the field of the development of Russian business press. As a result of the economic crisis the audience of business editions expanded and new approaches to analysis and explanation of the information needed. The authors analyzed the economic situation during the period of 2007 – 2010, examined a wide variety of Russian business editions (content, headings, target audience) and came to the conclusion that some of business editions didn't cope with the new economic conditions on the mass media market, lost their popularity among the readership and were closed. At the same time special business editions began to develop actively and enjoyed popularity.
