The research paper below offers the classification of Arabic vocatives in terms of:
a) their normative / non-normative uses with distinguished Standard Vocative Structures (SVS) and Non-Standard Vocative Structures (NSVS) while introducing such terms as Appelative Particles for addressing Near Objects (APANO) and Appelative Particles for addressing Distant Objects (APADO);
b) the objects appealed to when differentiating between Group Vocative Constructions (GVC) and Individual Vocative Constructions. Special units in our classification system of Arabic vocatives are represented by those ones with word component Allah and His epithets (VCCA). They needed to be studied separately because of their exclusive position as communicative and meaningful units of the Arabic Literary Language reflecting the Arab's national mentality firstly, some peculiarities of their functioning (VCCA) in comparison with other Arabic vocatives secondly.
