The article is devoted to the phenomenon of professional deformation. The definition of discursive professional deformation of a linguistic personality is given. The changes in the mediator’s communicative behavior after a long period of professional duties are evaluated. The discursively relevant manifestations of the professional mediator that persist in his communicative behavior outside the profession are examined.
