Lexical units with the “supernatural” component in R. Kipling's short story “The Phantom’ Rickshaw” and its translations into Russian

The article is devoted to the analysis of lexical units with the "supernatural" component in R. Kipling's short story "The Phantom’ Rickshaw"(1880). The research provides a comparative analysis of the short story's authentic text with its two Russian versions by E.N. Nelidova (1915) and A.M. Shadrin (1968). The article highlights the main principles of lexical units' with the "supernatural" component translation from English into Russian. The relevance of the research is due to insufficient degree of studying of lexical units' with the "supernatural" component translating from English into Russian in texts of mystical topic. The purpose of the article is to analyze the main features of the cross-language transferring of lexical units with the "supernatural" component from English into Russian and to identify the main patterns of using one or another translating method.
