the "neutrality Pact between the USSR and Japan" as a symbolic event marked the gradual cessation of Soviet aid to China during the Sino-Chinese war and the transition of the Sino-Soviet attitude to the cold under the scrutiny of Chinese public opinion at the time. As the major official Newspapers released in China at the time, the " Xinhua Daily newspaper "of the Communist party of China and the" Central Daily News " of the Chinese nationalist party made detailed reports and comments. Depending on the status of the two parties at the time and its different relationship to the Soviet Union, the two party Newspapers showed not only some differences in regard to the dynamics of propaganda and commentary, but also interpreted it with a different view that whether this Treaty contradicted the previous "Treaty of mutual non-aggression between China and the USSR" and whether this Treaty trampled on the territorial sovereignty of China, on the basis of which the two Newspapers expressed their views on the prospect of relations between China and the USSR.
