Phraseological unit in the function of an unattached phrase

Somov Andrey E.  (Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor of the Ural Branch of Russian State University of Justice, Chelyabinsk)

the article contains information about the functional ability of phraseological units to complicate a sentence by expressing unattached phrases of different semantics. It is noted that phraseological units can be included in separate definitions, expressed by participial phrases and applications, and in the composition of isolated circumstances, most often expressed by adverbial phrases. In addition, the typical functions of phraseological units are the functions of clarifying turnover, comparative and connecting turnovers. Quantitatively, the Russian language is dominated by isolated members built on phraseological units in the syntactic function of participial and adverbial phrases. Phraseologisms can form common and non-common isolated members of the sentence. Speaking as part of separate members, phraseological units make the semantics of phrases more accurate and specific. It is concluded that it is necessary to create a unified lexico-phraseological theory of complication, which would take into account the possibility of expressing all possible types of isolated constructions not only by lexemes, but also by phraseological units.

Keywords:phraseological unit, complication, unattached phrase, semantics.
