DEVELOPMENT OF IDEOGRAPHIC DICTIONARY OF UNMANNED AERIAL SYSTEMS TERMS

In spite of the rapid development of the unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) production, there is no up-to-date Russian national standard on the UAS terminology. The existing one was developed in 2016 and does not encompass all the terms in active circulation in the area. The semantics of the terms is not well understood by nonexperts, as for disambiguation both definition and context are important. The aim of this work is to develop a methodology for the UAS terminology ordering and disambiguation. We describe the implementation of the linguistic effort in compiling the Russian – English database as the backbone for the web-application of the online ideographic dictionary of unmanned aircraft systems terminology.
