The relevance of the study is due to the need to identify effective approaches to solving the problem of improving the quality of educational and cognitive activity of younger schoolchildren, which involves organizing the development of elements of productive or, in other words, sanogenic thinking among students, enabling the child to realize the importance of his health and independently manage mental processes and states. The purpose of the study was to identify and test the author's approach to the development of sanogenic thinking in children aged 7-8 years in the process of primary school education. The novelty of the study consists in clarifying the concept of sanogenic thinking in children 7-8 years old and scientifically substantiating and testing the content of an experimental program for its development.
