COMMUNICATIVE AND PRAGMATIC ASPECTS OF THE MILITARY-POLITICAL DISCOURSE OF INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

The article deals with the military-political discourse of international organizations as the object of study. The study is intended to examine the communicative and pragmatic aspects of this type of discourse. To achieve this goal, a generalization of approaches to “institutional discourse” and “interdiscursivity” is provided. Military-political discourse is considered as interdiscursive, combining the features of political and military discourses and having specific features within the communicative process. The communicative and pragmatic aspects of the military-political discourse of international organizations are examined in terms of the texts of the CSTO and NATO documents. An analysis of individual examples is presented, the features of the addresser and the addressee in military-political discourse, as well as the situation of self-addressing, are identified.
