: In the article, using the example of materials from the article list of S.I. Kozlovsky and clerk I. Zinoviev, in 1647-1648. who undertook a diplomatic trip to Iran, the story of Ivan Gribov, the son of an active figure in the diplomatic history of the 17th century, is considered. Anisima Gribova. At an early age, during a trip to Persia, Ivan Gribova, who came under the influence of others and converted to Islam, many years later expressed a desire to return to his homeland.
