The article outlines the main provisions of the author's concept of using the pedagogical potential of historical knowledge in shaping the professional worldview of military university cadets.The structural organization of the concept is disclosed, which consists of theoretical and methodological, procedural and technological, substantive and criteria-diagnostic components that allow us to identify promising approaches to scientific justification and a systematic description of the organization and ways to determine the effectiveness of this process. The proposed author's approach outlined ways to stimulate the interest of cadets in studying the disciplines of the humanities and professional cycles, which contributes to the formation of a holistic picture of the world and a military-professional worldview among cadets, which are the basis for improving the quality of military professional education.
