LINGUISTIC DIFFICULTIES IN THE MASTERING OF PROFESSIONAL ENGLISH VOCABULARY BY CHEMISTRY STUDENTS OF A NON-LINGUISTIC UNIVERSITY

The article discusses the issue of mastering professional English terminology by students of the Faculty of Chemistry; existing textbooks in English for students of chemical fields are analyzed; Exercises are provided aimed at memorizing the names of chemical elements and compounds, as well as the rules of pronunciation of formulas. The article also presents special chemical terms that cause difficulties in memorization, use and translation for students. To do this, it is recommended to use a memory map and make mental maps.
