STYLISTIC TECHNIQUES FOR CREATING IMAGES OF CHARACTERS IN CORMAC MCCARTHY’S NOVEL “NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN”

The purpose of this article is to analyze the use of stylistic devices and their impact on the disclosure of plot and characters of the novel “No Country for Old Men” by the English-language writer Cormac McCarthy. Such stylistic devices as irony, comparison, allusion, are considered, conclusions are formulated regarding the role of the stylistic devices used by the author, their significance in the images he created to study and analyze the stylistic techniques used in the context of their impact on the atmosphere of the work, and the characters.
