ANALYSIS OF LOGICAL TACTICS FOR CREATING AN IRONIC EFFECT IN A FICTITIOUS TEXT AND PRESERVING IT IN TRANSLATION

This paper is devoted to the analysis of creating and perceiving irony in a fictitious text from a cognitive point of view; retaining its effect in translation. Based on the cognitive strategies classification for creating irony, the logical tactics used in the English-language novel are considered. The paper suggests cognitive analysis of humorous contexts built on the logical tactics and the ways of preserving them in translation. The paper considers the role of cognitive analysis of a fictitious text in its translation from English into Russian.
