PECULIARITIES OF THE NATIONAL SPANISH LANGUAGE OF COSTA RICA

The article examines the variant-specific features of the national variety of Spanish in Costa Rica, which distinguish it from other varieties of the Spanish language in Latin America, analyzes the phonetic, grammatical and lexical characteristics characteristic of this region, such as the peculiarities of the use of adverbs, the weakening of unstressed vowels, the main lexical-semantic groups of nationally specific vocabulary, etc., examines the concept of linguistic variability in the context of the Spanish language, reflected in the works of various domestic and foreign authors. The national variety of the Spanish language in Costa Rica is insufficiently studied against the background of other national varieties, which makes it one of the relevant objects of study in the context of modern linguistics. Analysis of linguistic variability and identity is necessary for the successful implementation of intercultural communication.
