TERM CONJUNCTION IN SENTENCES WITH PREDICATES OF MOTION IN MODERN ENGLISH

The article is devoted to the study of the semantics of joint activity in constructions with predicates of motion. The purpose of the study is to study the functional-semantic category of joint activity and to establish its specific characteristics in modern English. The role of the semantics of the object and adverbial modifiers in expressing the semantics of joint activity with predicates of motion is analyzed. Various classifications of verbs are presented regarding how they can be combined with one or more subjects or objects. It was revealed that predicates of motion belong to predicates of dual valence, which are capable of designating both individual and joint actions of many people.
