Morals & axiology: from philo- sophical perspective to new pedagogical concept of education

The article attempts to analyze the prospects of a new pedagogical concept of education in a philosophical context. It is noted that the main purpose of education is to develop students' common cultural values and patterns of behavior. However, a serious problem of modern education is to focus on the knowledge and not the cultural development. The lack of interest of students to the general cultural development leads to over-training and technical knowledge at the expense of humanities. According to the authors, it is necessary to adhere to personality-oriented model of development of students, according to which moral development is seen as the ultimate goal and the benefit. The most important role in the new pedagogical concept is given not only to teachers, but also parents, social environment of students. Thus, it is argued the idea of the need for education not only epistemological, but also on the axiological level. It is proved the relationship and interdependence of cognitive and value aspects of modern educational paradigm.
