N.V. Shcherban – french correspondent of M.N. Katkov`s periodicals

The article is devoted to N.V. Shcherban - a little-known conservative publicist of the second half of the XIX century, the permanent correspondent of "Moscow vedomosti" and "Russian vestnik". Most of his time Shcherban spent in France, he knew very well Russian emigre environment and a French political life, which was described in his correpondences. Polemical struggle against radical revolutionaries alsofigured prominently in his essays.
