Educational mission of the translation committee of the Orthodox Missionary Society of the brotherhood of St. Gury

The article is dedicated to translation, publishing and educational activities of the Translation Committee of the Orthodox Missionary society of the Brotherhood of St. Gury, founded in 1876, Studied translation and publishing of the repertoire of the Commission in accordance with the target region and its strategy of translation of religious, secular, scientific-popular and educational literature in the languages of the peoples of the Russian Empire. An attempt was made to assess the significance of the activities of the Translation Committee, not only in missionary and secular education field.
