Translation of conceptual metaphor in the speeches of Russian president Vladimir Putin drawing on the example of metaphor of unanimated nature

This paper considers the issue of conceptual metaphor translation in the political discourse of Russian president Vladimir Putin. The authors have analyzed the objectivizations of the conceptual metaphor of unanimated nature in original and translated speeches of Russian president Vladimir Putin. The present research shows that due to different ways of translation sometimes conceptual metaphor remains in the text of translation but in other cases is not and even its essential characteristics could be changed.
