A feature of modern society is the growing interest of its various layers to the history and historical problems of the past. This is manifested today in the flow of publication of a diverse in quality and scientific level of historical literature, which has a great impact on the historical consciousness of the masses. In modern conditions, with increasing requirements of society for historical science, the importance of knowledge of historical science, clarification of questions about how the historical conditions and interests of society influenced the formation of historical science, scientific institutions, the publication of scientific research, the full set of phenomena of scientific life. This article is devoted to the analysis of the structure of "Russian Historiography" NL. Rubinstein. It is worth noting that the appearance of this work did not remain unnoticed in the scientific life of the 40s of the 20th century. From the 40-ies. XX century until this time, this work was accompanied by ideological condemnation and great recognition of scientific significance. Appeal to the analysis of the structure of "Russian Historiography" allows us to disclose then the embodiment of the author's concept of the history of historical science, as well as reveal the very construction of the book, the principles and methods on which this structure is based. The article may be of interest to students and post-graduate students of universities that study the history of the USSR, history teachers, as well as all those interested in the development of historical science.
