The article discusses Russian impersonal verb clauses. The authors identify and analyze types of predicate, subject and modifier used in such constructions.
Predicates vary in grammatical form, lexical semantics and argument structure of the verbs involved. Impersonal, essentially zero-subject constructions, may have various types of subject as an implicit part of the verbal predicate or modifier.
