Diversity of literary contexts in Gogol's works

Gogol at the beginning of the XXI century was just as unconceivable interpretations and "getting out" beyond any interpretation that was for his readers and during his lifetime. Creativity NV Gogol, in spite of the apparent study, is still a mystery, which every generation has to solve in a new way. From the standpoint of modern science, it seems necessary to revise the generally accepted stereotypes and to approach Gogol's study impartially and objectively, taking into account the positive experience of past studies and new trends in Gogol. Gogol is one of the rare writers whose brilliant artistic heritage demonstrates exceptional universalism, which allows us to speak about the harmonious inclusion of his work in various cultural, aesthetic, philosophical and literary contexts, thereby defining the most promising line of Gogol studies of the connections of the great artist with various traditions of Russian and Western European culture, as evidenced by the work of A.N. Veselovsky, M.M. Bakhtin, V.V. Vinogradova G.A. Gukovsky, Yu.M. Lotman et al. The article explores the question of what is happening now in Gogovlem? As you know, Gogol exists on the border of Russian and Ukrainian cultures. In Gogolism, there is the question of which culture, does it belong to a greater degree? How acute is the use of Gogol's name in the political sphere? Gogol is certainly an outstanding figure. How and why did Gogol create a special atmosphere of mystery around himself and his works? This poetics of Gogol's secret gives rise to a unique for Russian literature image of the Mysterious Author, the master of meaning, not accessible to the simple reader. While reading Gogol, we do not move forward, from the beginning to the end of the text, but back to the source of the message, eluding our understanding. The accumulated material requires systematization and generalization. Many of the previously unknown facts of Gogol's biography and creativity need scientific understanding and interpretation.
