Culturally conditioned difficulties in translating the novels by Ivan S. Turgenev into Chinese (based on the translations of the novels «Rudin» and «Fathers and sons»)

The process of translating works of Russian classics has always been a topical issue in linguistics and translation theory, as well as in cultural studies, psychology, and even political rhetoric. More influence on the translation of texts had and continues to have the specifics of Chinese culture and world perception, reflected in the "linguistic picture of the world", the grammatical structures of sentences and the selection of vocabulary. With examples of translations by different authors, this article discusses the specific methods and techniques used by Chinese translators in the process of translating the works of Ivan S. Turgenev from Russian to Chinese.
