Borrowed phrase with color component in the Russian language of the end of the XX – the beginning of the XXI centuries

Phraseological units with a colorative component, created on Russian soil, have been repeatedly studied in many works, nevertheless, units borrowed from other languages in the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries have not yet become the subject of study — this is the novelty of our research. This article discusses the features of the borrowing of phraseological units with the colorative component in the Russian language of the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries. It has been established that the majority of such units are borrowed from English, in the process of which both the foreign language forms themselves and their meanings penetrate into the Russian language. The emergence of English-American phraseological units on the basis of the Russian language often leads to difficulties in studying the latter by foreign students, as well as to difficulties in the study of lexical aspects among philologists. In this regard, you should pay attention to this process, and thus contribute to a more correct use of the Russian language and improve the methods of linguistic learning.
