Order and features of production of officers and lower ranks of the Russian army in the second half of the XIX century

In this article were considered issues related to the personnel records of the Russian army in second half XIX century and its basic function to ensure proper existence of the Russian army of the time: manning the "lower ranks" in order to fill all the groups military ranks of the regular force; the basic requirements of production in the lower ranks non-commissioned officers (from the number received by lot; from among the volunteers; from the rank and file of infantry, cavalry and artillery pieces; among engineering troops). The basic requirements of production in the lower ranks of officers: from among ieremievich; from among the volunteers. Also the basic requirements of production of warrant officers in officers, non-commissioned officers in officers, requirements at production in officers of a stock were considered. The order of production in the chief officer ranks (lieutenants, staff captains and captains) for seniority was made. Rules of the system of personnel records in the Russian army when assigning the following rank: Lieutenant; staff captains; captains; from among the officers of the artillery troops; from among the officers of the engineering troops; Lieutenant-colonels; colonels; generals.
