Culturological features of phraseologisms in the english language

The article presents an attempt to single out the cultural nature of idioms, classify them by type and characterize grammatical features. The author of the article highlights the similarities and differences of idioms with other multi-word expressions, and also determines their features in the structure of the language. Moreover, the author of the article analyzes the studies of foreign linguists on the classification of phraseological expressions. The author concludes that idioms are a reflection of the culture of not only the language, but also the traditions and customs of a particular people, so when using them, non-native speakers should know in which situations it is appropriate to use certain idiomatic expressions.
