Comparison of the greek and chinese mythological hero

The article discusses the role of myth in the worldview and understanding of man in a historical context, the importance of myth as a tool for the formation of human consciousness is noted. The issues related to the emergence of similar and different mythological plots and heroes among different peoples are discussed. A comparison is made of typical Greek and Chinese mythological heroes – the Greek and Chinese goddesses of the moon (Selena and Chan E), as well as Oedipus and Netzha. The similarity in the main components of mythological plots and differences in important details due to the worldview and mentality of peoples are revealed.
