Magadanshchina as false regionalism

The aim of the work is to deepen understanding of the term false regionalism (pseudo-regionalism). The scientific novelty of the research lies in the substantiation of the idea of including a wider range of facts in the semantic field of the term, in particular, the erroneous realization of localisms, which consists in narrowing the territory of the speech unit. The phenomenon of false regionalization is illustrated in the article using the example of the use of the lexeme Magadanschina, which had not previously been the subject of scientific description. In the course of the work, descriptive-analytical and experimental (in the form of a questionnaire) methods were used, as well as techniques of continuous sampling and statistical data processing. The paper proves that the lexeme Magadan belongs to pseudo-regionalisms.
