Mexican mysteries: form, lexical and phonetic features

Modern linguistic science is largely focused on a person, his way of life, environment, his perception of the world and all the objects created by his hands. There is no doubt that the culture and folklore of each individual country is unique and unrepeatable. In their essence, they are the only link for humanity in the broadest sense of the word - an intermediary between the acquired collective experience of ancestors, modernity and future transformations of society. The object of the study is the lexical features of Mexican riddles. The subject is linguistic semiotics. Various Mexican riddles were used as material for the article. They were extracted using a census sampling method from various sources, both printed and electronic. The linguoculturological method formed the basis of the study. The method of semantic reconstruction implies the restoration of the previous meaning of the word. The associative method is necessary for understanding the associative series that arises in the bearer of culture in connection with the use of certain words. The interpretive method is used to reveal the semiotic aspect of the text as a cultural code. Thus, it is the language that reflects the characteristics of the culture of a single ethnic group. In this case, such an ethnic group is its most complex form - the Mexican nation. It is the analysis of the language that makes it possible to extract such information about the ethnic group, with the help of which one can fully understand and reproduce the ethno-linguistic picture of the world of the Mexicans. The article is devoted to the analysis of Mexican riddles and their lexical features. The study of the perception and verbalization of the picture of the world of the Mexicans is of particular interest, since it is in riddles that the traditions of folklore comprehension of reality by the ethnic group are fixed and a nationally conditioned sense of belonging to culture is created.
