The function of word order in Russian language in different literary genres

Aim. The paper presents the purpose of the word order in Russian sentences for the classification of the genre variety in a text. Methodology. The main functions of the word order in sentence are defined: communicative, grammatical, stylistic, and also an extended classification by V.N. Yartseva, which allows to distinguish intermediate types: structural-grammatical, rhythmic, logical-binding, emphatic, semantic-distinguishing and stylistic, and to identify those that are obligatory in determining the word order. A comparative analysis of sentences in the texts of media discourse, student jargon and Internet is carried out to identify the reasons for the preservation or deviation from the norm in the word, the reasons for these processes are substantiated. Possible variations depending on affiliation to spoken or written language are considered. The function of word order is studied as a discursive model that determines the specifics of an utterance in media texts (using the example of newspaper headlines on the Internet). Results. The research shows that the main functions of the word order in sentences depend not so much on genre affiliation as on the affiliation of the text and sentence as its direct component to spoken or written language. The word order in sentences, as well as correspondence or deviation from the norm, is considered as a discursive model when analyzing the word order in sentences of related genres. Theoretical significance. The theoretical significance of this study is to determine the functional characteristics of the discursive model in texts of two genres based on the allocation of the word order functions in the formation in sentences.
