Peculiarities of the English professional medical language of the production novel (on the example of A. Hailey's novel "Final diagnosis")

The article highlights the features of professional medical vocabulary on the example of special terminology and professionalisms used in highly specialized medical communication. The analyzed material made it possible to reveal the specifics of professional communication of employees and patients of medical institutions, to identify codified and non-codified units of medical discourse, and to define thematic groups of the studied vocabulary.
