EDUCATION SYSTEM FOR ELDERLY PEOPLE AND ITS ROLE IN SOLVING THE PROBLEMS OF DIGITAL INEQUALITY

The article discusses current problems related to the education of older people in the context of the development of the information society. The problem raised in the article is relevant due to the fact that the weak competence of older people in the use of digital and information technologies contributes to a decrease in the level of their socialization. The article determines that the process of organizing training should be based on a competency-based approach, which makes it possible to clearly structure training programs for older people. For older people, digital competence includes knowledge, skills, motivation and responsibility, covering various areas of social activity. Successful implementation of digital literacy among older people requires the development of specially adapted skills, knowledge and abilities, and can also be carried out through special programs for the formation of digital literacy and informal learning in a social environment.
