The genre of anecdote occupies a significant place in the folklore of the peoples of Dagestan. In the oral folk art of the Laks, the anecdote is of great interest, both in thematic terms and in terms of artistic features, and the reflection of human vices in them through comedy. The subject of this study is an anecdote in the folklore of the Lak people as an object of reflection of comic phenomena in the social sphere. The thematic issues and peculiarities of the manifestation of the comic are considered. The purpose of this article is to show the peculiarities of comedy in anecdotes and to give a general analysis of this genre in Lak folklore. The article also discusses the issues of collecting and publishing an anecdote in the folklore of the Lak people.
The relevance of the topic is due to the relevance of the joke today. They critically reflect the whole life of the people, as well as condemn human vices in the life of the people themselves, generated by social conditions. Jokes are widely spread among the people and are told on any occasion or occasion. They make you laugh, educate, teach you to think, reflect and draw conclusions.
The novelty of this work lies in the fact that for the first time it highlights the specifics of the genre of anecdote, its artistic features in the folklore of the Laks. The research method was a comparative historical and philological analysis based on the works of leading folklorists and other scientists: V. M. Sidelnikov, V. E. Gusev, Yu. I. Yudin, G. L. Permyakov. The practical significance of the work lies in the fact that its results can be used in higher educational institutions when reading courses "Folklore of the peoples of Dagestan" at philological faculties, when compiling methodological manuals, etc.
