The article discusses issues related to the formation of cross-cultural aspects in teaching RFL, as well as the phenomenon of possessive pronouns. The purpose of the study is to study cross-cultural aspects in teaching RFL: the phenomenon of possessive pronouns. Research methods: method of analysis, comparison, decision making, logical reasoning and many others. The importance of intercultural basic education has been studied with the aim of developing cross-cultural aspects in teaching RFL. The importance of obtaining education in modern conditions is emphasized for the purpose of comprehensive development, broadening one’s horizons, enriching life experience, etc. The main problems that arise during the implementation of the student learning process are considered. The concept of “cross-cultural communication” is defined. The concept of “cross-cultural competence” has been studied. Three main aspects of the formation of cross-cultural competence are considered. The levels of cross-cultural communication have been studied. The main directions for improving intercultural communication of students are formulated. When teaching Russian as a foreign language, it is necessary to pay attention to studying the phenomenon of possessive pronouns. Examples of possessive pronouns are considered. The author of the article emphasizes the need to use an integrated approach when studying Russian as a foreign language in order to increase the efficiency of activities. An algorithm of activities has been developed aimed at increasing the level of cross-cultural development among students when teaching RFL. The main expected results from the use of this algorithm in practice are determined.
