METHODS OF TEACHING PHYSICAL EDUCATION THROUGH THE PRISM OF HEALTHY LONGEVITY

The article reveals an actual problem of active ageing as a conceptual basis for the development of methods of teaching physical education in modern universities. The research goal is to consider the principles of the concept of active ageing in the framework of teaching physical education to university students. The research objectives are to identify the features of active ageing as a practically applied theory in developed countries, as well as to establish a connection with teaching physical education from a methodological point. The research methodology is based on a systematic approach and includes the methods of the general scientific group (analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction), as well as a number of special methods: historiographical analysis of scientific literature on the topic of research; methods of comparison and systematization. Based on the results of the study, the author of the article came to the following conclusions: the modern theory and practice of teaching physical education at the university should contribute to solving the issues of health and active longevity, which will significantly expand and enrich students' ideas about the impact of physical activity on the quality of life in old age and thereby consolidate the motivation for a healthy lifestyle.
