REPRESENTATIVES OF THE INTELLIGENTSIA OF BURYATIA ARE THE TANSKY FAMILY

At the present stage, an urgent scientific task is to determine the place and role of the regional intelligentsia in various periods of the history of the Russian state. In our article, based on the archival fund, the life path of the Tansky family is presented. They were representatives of the hereditary intelligentsia of the city of Verkhneudinsk, Trans-Baikal region in Eastern Siberia. M.V. Tansky, working as a doctor, stood at the origins of the organization of qualified medical care, both in the city and in rural areas of the Republic of Buryatia. E.A. Tanskaya, being a teacher, was engaged in educating the younger generation, first in imperial Russia, and then in the Soviet country. They both went through all the joys and sorrows of the twentieth century. Despite the tragic events that affected them personally, they managed not only not to become bitter, but to maintain high morality and a sense of true patriotism. The spouses have lived a long life and their activities can become an example of service for the benefit of their native land and Homeland.
