The article deals with the study of the peculiarities of interjections functioning in the English-language fiction text and the issues of their translation into Russian. The authors study interjections in fiction from the point of view of emotivness of the written text. The researchers analyze the interpretation of these lexical units by the reader in the absence of audio-visual characteristics of oral speech. The paper considers the ways of translating English interjections into Russian.
