THE USE OF THE QUEST METHOD IN TEACHING FOREIGN STUDENTS AT A RUSSIAN UNIVERSITY AND IN SOLVING THE PROBLEM OF THEIR ADAPTATION

This article is devoted to modern methods of teaching and adaptation of foreign students in a Russian university. The main problems of social and academic adaptation of foreign students and the difficulties of their education in a Russian-speaking environment are indicated. To solve this problem, it is proposed to use the quest method. Definition of the quest method is given, its main characteristics, functions and principles of implementation are considered. The specific options for the application of this method in the practice of teaching foreign students are highlighted.
