An important criterion in training is the degree of information assimilation. Depending on the teaching method and the method of information delivery, the quality of assimilation will be excellent. According to the generally accepted pyramid of information acquisition, one of the most effective ways of learning is practical classes, especially if they take place immediately after acquiring new knowledge. However, the complexity of technological equipment and the speed of development make it necessary to train both students and already trained operators in a very short time. The article discusses the types of training and their distinctive features, among which interactive training is noted as the most promising method in practical training, virtual reality technologies are highlighted as an excellent training tool. The requirements for models necessary and sufficient for the possibility of using them in training in virtual reality environments are considered, on their basis, models of technological equipment are developed. The types of simulators are considered according to the degree of interaction with the student.

Keywords:Virtual reality, improving the quality of education, data visualization, training.
