The article is devoted to the description of the features of the formation of meaningful reading skills in the Russian and Kazakh bilingual audience when working with a scientific text. It has been established that bilinguals have certain advantages over monolinguals, which requires the adaptation of the educational process to solve the problem of forming meaningful reading skills in students.
