The article is devoted to sources on the history of the Menshevik emigration, stored in the Archives Department of the Library of Modern International Documentation (Nanterre, France). The authors focus on ego-documents presented in the personal archival fund of the famous social democrat N. V. Valentinov (Volsky). The article characterizes N. V. Valentinov's perception of the socio-economic and political development of France in the mid-20th century. The authors come to the conclusion that these documents contain valuable information about the ideological and political attitudes of the Menshevik emigration.
