THE IMPACT OF RUSSIAN GRAMMAR CASES ON SPEAKING SKILLS AND COMMUNICATION OF ENGLISH-SPEAKING STUDENTS

The article examines the impact of Russian grammar cases on communication, focusing on the challenges and significance of acquiring grammatical rules for language competency. The study, conducted at Belgorod University, involved 27 students learning Russian at the preparatory faculty who are English speakers and have just finished their Russian language course. This article is important for teachers who are currently teaching Russian to English-speaking students in general, and particularly for teachers at the faculty of Russian language in Belgorod State University. This article used a mixed-methods approach. Quantitative data was collected through surveys, and qualitative insights were gathered from interviews. Despite the complexity of Russian grammar in general and Russian grammar cases in particular, the majority of participants acknowledged its crucial role in ensuring clear and successful communication. That is why the article suggests that a strong command of Russian grammar is necessary for reducing communication mistakes and enhancing language competence. The study highlights the importance of understanding and applying Russian grammar in language learning.
