THE HISTORY OF STUDYING THE CATEGORY OF TIME IN THE MODERN MONGOLIAN LANGUAGE

The article presents a systematic analysis of the main approaches to studying the category of time in the Mongolian language, taking into account cultural and historical aspects. It examines the works of linguists from the 19th to the 21st centuries, which address the specific features of tense forms, moods, and aspects characteristic of the Mongolian language. The main challenges related to the classification of temporal categories are highlighted, and the need for further research is emphasized to develop a widely accepted theory that considers the specificities of temporal relations in agglutinative languages. The findings can contribute to advancing knowledge in the fields of Mongolian studies, comparative linguistics, and grammar theory.
