V. M. MOLCHANOV'S KHABAROVSK CAMPAIGN OF 1921–1922: THE «LAST HOPE» OF THE WHITE MOVEMENT IN THE RUSSIAN FAR EAST

The article analyzes the conduct of the offensive operation of the Far Eastern white rebel army of V. M. Molchanov, which went down in history under the name «Khabarovsk campaign of 1921–1922». Also, in this work, the military and political events preceding this offensive are considered, and in some cases served as prerequisites conducive to the realization of the goals of this campaign. The Khabarovsk campaign of the white rebels is one of the key events in the history of the Civil War in the Russian Far East, and its outcome could affect the future fate of the Far Eastern region. Counting on the support of the japanese interventionists and the local population of the Amur region and Primorye, V. M. Molchanov planned to defeat the People's Revolutionary Army of the Far Eastern Republic and resume the fight against the revolutionaries, thereby turning his campaign into the «last hope» of the white movement.
