Written speech as a cultural phenomenon has always been in the field of view of scientists and methodologists. Writing is a very important and insufficiently studied problem in the methodology of teaching the Russian language. The problem of writing development is related to the issues of teaching students to write correctly. This article reveals the issues of the formation of literate writing in younger schoolchildren. The authors consider the use of information and communication technologies in Russian language lessons in elementary school to be a promising direction in the formation of literate writing among younger schoolchildren.
