The research relevance is due to the growing need to modernize the educational process in higher education using advanced information technologies.
The research goal is to identify the main prospects for the introduction of computer vision technologies into the pedagogical practice of higher education in Russia. To achieve this goal, the following tasks were solved: existing developments and solutions in the field of computer vision were studied, the applicability of these technologies for various educational tasks was assessed, and the experience of implementing such technologies in foreign universities was studied.
The research methodology is based on a systematic approach and includes the analysis of scientific and methodological literature on the use of computer vision in the higher education system, the formal logical method, systematization, generalization, and the method of descriptive analysis.
Based on the results, the following conclusions were formulated: computer vision is able to provide an objective and detailed analysis of the educational activity of university students, provide teachers with valuable data for personalizing learning and improving academic performance.
