The article examines the creative legacy of Sergei Sergeyevich Prokofiev, aimed at a young audience, with a focus on its role in the system of supplementary music education. The genre and stylistic features of the composer’s works, such as the symphonic fairy tale «Peter and the Wolf» and the piano cycle «Children's Music», are analyzed, along with their impact on the development of children's musical taste, emotional culture, and performance skills. Special attention is paid to modern approaches to integrating S.S. Prokofiev’s work into the educational process, including the use of multimedia technologies and interactive learning formats. The methodological significance of the composer’s works for aesthetic education and their adaptation to the digital era is emphasized, ensuring the continued relevance of his music for new generations.
