The research relevance is determined by the need to rethink the place and role of Moscow conceptualism in the history of Russian literature of the twentieth century. The research goal is a comprehensive analysis of Moscow conceptualism as a literary movement, to identify its main characteristics and key stages of development and influence on subsequent literary and artistic processes.
The research objectives to determine the theoretical foundations of Moscow conceptualism; identification of the main techniques and strategies used by conceptualists in their literary works; Study of the relationship between Moscow conceptualism and other trends in Russian and foreign literature.
The research methodology includes: the formal-logical method, historical and literary analysis, semiotic analysis; comparative analysis, as well as historiographical analysis of scientific literature on the topic of the study.
As a research result, the following conclusions were formulated: Moscow conceptualism, which arose in the Soviet underground in the 1970s, should be considered not just as a local phenomenon in the history of Russian art, but as the beginning of many postmodernist trends in world literature in the following decades. Deconstruction of language, irony, rejection of ideological clichés, attention to banality and everyday life, play with quotations and intertextuality: these are the main methods of critical comprehension of Soviet reality.
